By S-Bahn and
Subway |
From the Munich Central Train Station (Hauptbahnhof) it is easy to ride the S-Bahn and the subway (U-Bahn) to get to our institute. Take any S-Bahn in the direction of Ostbahnhof and get out after two stops at "Marienplatz". Transfer then to the subway line U6 to "Garching-Forschungszentrum". The ride from Munich Central Train Station via Marienplatz takes about 45 minutes and costs about 5 Euros.

| From the Airport |
From the Munich airport there are two options. Either take a taxi (the ride takes about 20 minutes and costs approx. 25 Euros) or ride with the S-Bahn Line 8 (in the direction of Pasing) to "Ismaning". From there take bus 230 to the Technical University (TU München) in Boltzmannsstraße and get off at either "Max-Planck-Institute" or "Forschungsreaktor". This takes between 30-40 minutes and costs 6 Euros.
